Leading up to this year's Carers Week celebration, I felt compelled to honor Manchester's unpaid carers in a truly special way—by providing a platform for their voices to be heard. What better way to convey their experiences than through the creation and performance of a unique song? Collaborating with String of Hearts and receiving support from my colleagues at Carers Manchester, we collectively composed and performed a heartfelt song titled "Miracle." This initiative aimed not only to celebrate the invaluable contributions of unpaid carers but also to empower them through the art of music.
